eFulfilment provides e-commerce enterprise resource planning for Schiesser
eF|CommerceEngine in operation for leading underwear specialist:
Schiesser AG has chosen eFulfilment's enterprise resource planning system for the management of their e-business activities. All of the online store's processes at www.schiesser.com, which was launched at the end of 2011, are being managed via the eF|CommerceEngine. During the selection process, the ERP from eFulfilment impressed with its explicit e-business focus and numerous interfaces to important payment and logistics partners. Furthermore, Schiesser emphasises the flexible growth and expansion opportunities that are guaranteed by the eF|CommerceEngine. Schiesser AG is one of the leading lingerie brands in Germany.
"For the launch of our online store, we were looking for an enterprise resource management system which is specifically tailored to e-commerce processes. The solution needed to function as a B2C e-business extension to our existing ERP without significant adjustment costs," explains Engelbert Fleischmann, Head of IT and Processes at Schiesser. "The eF|CommerceEngine has met these requirements. It covers all e-business processes and, as a SaaS model, was ready to go live within a narrow time frame."
The eF|CommerceEngine is a proprietary development of eFulfilment Transaction Services GmbH. It is specifically geared to the needs of e-commerce and works with full automation along the entire e-business process chain: from central product data administration to comprehensive order management and their follow-up processes. High performance multi-channel modules integrate powerful third-party sales channels like Amazon, eBay or Allyouneed.de and can integrate specialist retailers and branches as needed.
"Our eF|CommerceEngine includes a variety of interfaces as standard in order to enable the integration of third-party systems," explains eFulfilment's Managing Director, Thomas Franke. "Accordingly, the eFulfilment system can be connected to online retail systems such as OXID eShop (the system behind Schiesser's online store) without considerable cost and effort."
Connection to relevant payment and logistics partners via the eF|CommerceEngine is equally straightforward and flexible. The connection of the Schiesser online store to the logistics partner DHL and the payment systems PayPal and Heidelpay credit card was accomplished via the standardised integrations with no need for further adjustment.
"With the eF|CommerceEngine, we've chosen a future-oriented solution with which we can expand our e-business at any time," says Fleischmann. "The extensive integration layer makes connection to other distribution channels possible without requiring extensive programming on our part."
At Schiesser, the modular eF|CommerceEngine is in operation using all relevant e-commerce modules; central data maintenance, logistics management, automated order forwarding to the logistics providers, as well as CRM functions for the processing of all downstream communications with the goods recipient.
„Mit der eF|CE setzen wir auf eine zukunftsorientierte Lösung, mit der wir unser eBusiness jederzeit ausweiten können. Die umfangreiche Integrationsschicht macht die Anbindung an weitere Vertriebskanäle jederzeit möglich.“
