Orders from all online channels can be passed on to a store and sent using a freely definable algorithm (e.g. postcode, proximity search).
Branch stock display
Your customers can check online which stores have the desired product in stock. In addition, a transfer request can be triggered by a store so that a product at one store can be delivered to another.
Send out online orders from a store: for instance from the store which is closest to the customer’s home. This enables you to ship items more quickly and cheaply, or if the product is no longer in stock at the main warehouse. The CommerceEngine will provide you with all the necessary documents, such as delivery note and shipping label.
Pick-up-in-store (click & collect)
The customer orders online and can then collect the items free of shipping charges from a nearby store. The customer will be automatically informed as soon as the goods are available to collect in store. If the customer fails to collect the items, a reminder will be issued automatically after whatever time period you define. The order can be modified up until collection and further items can be added. An additional feature is that the system will calculate the best price at the time of collection, e.g. for auction prices.
Return-in-store / return-to-store
Customers can return an online order in store. The goods are either sent back to the central warehouse as service returns or they are appropriated as stock by the store.
Reserve-in-store (click & reserve)
Customers can select products online and reserve these in store.
Goods which are not available in retail outlets can be ordered in store together with a specialist advisor. Payment here can either be done in store or via the usual online payment methods.
Exploiting residual stock
User interfaces and processes which are optimised for quick entry give you an efficient system for offering residual stock. This lets you offer residual stock on a short-term basis specifically on appropriate marketplaces (e.g. eBay) thus increasing your turnover.
